Q. What testing services does CSI Laboratories provide?
CSI Laboratories provides non-routine testing in the area of specialized diagnostics. CSI Laboratories performs Flow Cytometry, Histology, Medical Genetics, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and other tests on bone marrow, blood, and tissue specimens sent to us by your doctor.
Q. Will CSI Laboratories bill my insurance carrier?
We believe that all patients deserve the same level of medical care regardless of their insurance status or carrier. CSI Laboratories will gladly contact and bill your insurance carrier or supplemental provider on your behalf.
Q. I received an Explanation of Benefits (“EOB”). What is this?
The Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is not a bill. You receive an EOB from your insurance provider each time they process a claim on behalf of your healthcare provider. It describes the services provided, the amount covered by the insurance company, and any remaining balance for which you may be responsible.
Q. Who is Cytometry Specialists, Inc.?
Cytometry Specialists, Inc. is the legal name for CSI Laboratories. Depending upon your insurance provider, CSI Laboratories may be referred to as Cytometry Specialists, Inc. on an EOB or other insurance documentation.
Q. How will I be notified of a remaining balance?
CSI Laboratories will notify you by mail. Due to the length of time needed by your insurance company to settle a claim and determine your remaining balance, there may be a significant period of time between the date of service and the subsequent invoice.
Q. What methods of payment does CSI Laboratories accept?
For any remaining balances, CSI Laboratories offers the flexibility of multiple payment methods. CSI Laboratories accepts payments made by personal check, money order, or major credit card.
