Wojciech Gorczyca, MD, PhD joins CSI Laboratories as Director of Flow Cytometry

CSI Laboratories, a private national cancer diagnostics laboratory, today announced that Wojciech Gorczyca, M.D., Ph.D. has joined its medical staff serving in the role of Director of Flow Cytometry.

"Dr. Gorczyca is a noted authority in clinical flow cytometry and hematopathology. We are confident that his expertise will help further establish CSI as a leader in leukemia and lymphoma diagnosis," said Dr. Lawrence Hertzberg,
CSI Laboratories’ Medical Director.

Most recently, Dr. Gorczyca served for ten years as a hematopathologist with Genzyme Genetics, Inc. / IMPATH, Inc. where he worked with other members of CSI Laboratories’ medical team, including Dr. Hertzberg, Dr. Steve Kargas, Director of Surgical Pathology and Dr. Theresa Brown, Director of Genetics. Dr. Gorczyca earned his medical degree and doctorate in pathology from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Poland. He completed fellowships in flow cytometry at Radium Hospital in Oslo, Norway and at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He is a well-respected lecturer and author, having published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and six text books including Flow Cytometry in Neoplastic Hematology: Morphologic-Immunophenotypic Correlation, 2nd edition and Atlas of Differential Diagnosis in Neoplastic Hematopathology, 2nd edition.
