Construction of New Cancer Diagnostics Laboratory in Florida

CSI Laboratories, a national cancer diagnostics laboratory based in Atlanta, Georgia, is expanding its operations to Jupiter, Florida, to serve pathology and oncology communities throughout the state better. Rapid specialty diagnostics are crucial for cancer patients who must often wait days or sometimes weeks before they know their diagnosis or can begin life-saving therapies. By expanding their state-of-the-art laboratory into south Florida, CSI Laboratories will be able to provide actionable testing results to Florida patients even faster than before.

The new laboratory will be led by Dr. Mojdeh Naghashpour—a renowned Florida pathologist and a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematopathology, Dr. Naghashpour will serve as the Jupiter laboratory’s Medical Director and Hematopathologist. In this role, she will provide expert diagnostic and consultation services to pathologists and clinicians across the state of Florida.

“Just as we have for over twenty years, CSI Laboratories remains committed to supporting pathologists and oncologists across the U.S. through our delivery of exceptional service, expedited turnaround times, and quality diagnostics. The addition of an esteemed pathologist such as Dr. Mojdeh Naghashpour to the CSI Laboratories family of medical experts completes the vision we had for a one-of-a-kind Florida cancer diagnostics laboratory. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve Florida communities in need of quality cancer diagnostics better,” said Ron Ghafary, Founder and President of CSI Laboratories.

Florida clients will have access to CSI’s full suite of testing services including flow cytometry, FISH, IHC, cytogenetics, and molecular diagnostics. As an added benefit, clients will also have access to CSI’s Atlanta-based team of medical experts and advanced testing technology. The Florida laboratory will also offer both global and C•TECH, tech-only, services.

Construction of the new laboratory, located at 2141 South Alternate A1A Highway, began in February and is expected to be completed by June 2018 with daily operations starting in July 2018.
