Lawrence Hertzberg, M.D.
Dr. Lawrence Hertzberg is nationally renowned for his expertise in hematopathology and the clinical applications of flow cytometry. In over 18 years of diagnosing hematopoietic malignancies, he has personally reviewed more than 100,000 flow cytometry cases.
Prior to joining CSI Laboratories in 2007, Dr. Hertzberg served for more than a decade as the Director of Hematopathology and Oncology Services with a national cancer reference laboratory, where he provided medical direction across multiple national laboratory sites. His academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pathology at the State University of New York’s Downstate School of Medicine.
Dr. Hertzberg received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowships in surgical and hematopathology at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. He is a distinguished author and lecturer and is known most recently for his research in ZAP-70 expression in small lymphocytic lymphoma/ chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In continuing this research, Dr. Hertzberg sits at the forefront of implementing valuable diagnostic technologies for both clinicians and their patients.
