Seble Chekol, MD
10/02/2019Dr. Seble Chekol joined CSI Laboratories in 2019 as a Hematopathologist. She has experience in community–based pathology practices as well as in commercial laboratory settings. Dr. Chekol is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and hematopathology.
Dr. Chekol earned her M.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. Before attending medical school, Dr. Chekol spent two years as a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (Postbac IRTA) fellow at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, conducting cancer research and studying the cytokine TGF-beta and its role in carcinogenesis.
Dr. Chekol completed her fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her residency in anatomical and clinical pathology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
